Lewes Town Council’s Community Grants Scheme has opened for applications to be submitted before July 31.
The Town Council’s Finance Committee has re-launched the scheme, with new criteria for applicants, meaning all non-profit making organisations can apply. Details of the organisations we will and won’t fund are available on our Grants page.
Organisations whose projects benefit the community of Lewes are able to apply for grant funding for figures up to £5000. There are three levels of grants, figures up to £1000, figures up to £2000 and figures up to £5000. The budget for grants is limited so only a limited number of grants at the higher level will be funded, in order to fund as many projects as possible.
In the past, Lewes Town Council grants have supported some of the town’s best-loved activities, including the annual Patina parade, and bonfire societies’ fundraising activities.
